Sigiri Apsara 😍

Created by King Kasyapa in the late 5th century, Sigiriya has won the Universal Awards as the eighth wonder of the world, delighting the minds of connoisseurs both then and now.  The Sigiriya murals occupy a very important place among the surviving ruins of Sigiriya.  These murals are one of the oldest preserved paintings in Sri Lanka.

1. Opinion of Mr. HCP Bell:

These paintings show that the golden women were the court ladies of King Kasyapa and the blue women were their maids.  Mr. Winston Smith also endorsed this view.

2.Ananda Coomaraswamy's opinion:

As the Sigiriya paintings show only the upper part, as well as the appearance of clouds, they are not the women of the Sigiriya inner city, and the Divine Apsaras come to the top of the Sigiriya rock with their maids and shower flowers.

3. Opinion of Mr. Nandadeva Wijesekera:

According to a graffiti on the mirror wall, "They are feeling that we will not leave the king's house

4. Opinion of Prof. Senarath Paranavithana:

He believes that golden women represent vijjulatha or electricity and blue women represent clouds or clouds.

Thanks   all😊😍😍
